"I moved into my apartment in Clarendale Independent Living in August 2020. I could not be happier. I chose a one bedroom with a spacious, covered balcony overlooking our courtyard. The sunsets are beautiful! My neighbors – who quickly became friends – are experiencing a wide variety of interesting lives! Dinner time comes with delicious food choices and great conversations. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful people. Our Life Enrichment folks provide a continuous series of activities that span the full spectrum of life’s adventures from live music to travelogues covering the entire world to tailored exercise programs and a wide variety of spiritual presentations. There’s something for everyone. Residents are offered a full service transportation department for shopping, relaxing sightseeing tours of area attractions, even a ride to the doctor! "Clarendale has been such a blessing for my Mom, from the very start! She is very independent and we needed to get her moved into a place where she could do activities, exercise, go to Bible study and meet/visit with other people. She went on a virtual tour and was able to see the whole building inside and outside! She fell in love with the place. The transition has been so smooth, and all the staff has been so good to her! She loves the food, says it is always fresh, hot, and very tasty! Whenever she has a question about anything it is taken care of immediately. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful to me whenever I call. I live out of state, but know my Mom is in 'perfect' hands at Clarendale!"

"I don’t know where to begin. I’m new to Clarendale and it’s just all so nice and everybody is very sweet. Each member of the staff I’ve met is thoughtful and caring. It’s like family because everyone looks out for one another. Today, one of my neighbors stopped by with a plate of chocolate covered strawberries as an early Valentine’s gift for everyone on my floor. [My apartment] is spacious and I have a lot of closets, which I love. I adore my patio and it’s easy for me to let my little dog, Teddy, out the door to go outside. I’ve had some health issues lately and the staff is helping me, even though I don’t think they have to because I am in Independent Living. The nurse even came to see me one night. Our Director, Cindy, has become my friend. She stops in to talk with me almost each day. Recently, I had an overnight stay in the hospital. When I got out, my son asked me if I’d like to come stay with them for a few nights. I told him that I wanted to go home, to my place at Clarendale because I love it there."
